VF1 Closed Circuit Cooling Tower
Series V closed circuit cooling tower configuration designed for reliable closed-loop heat rejection with centrifugal forced-draft airflow.
The BAC VF1 Closed Circuit Cooling Tower is a configuration within the Series V closed circuit cooling tower family. It is designed for closed-loop applications where the process fluid is circulated through a heat-transfer coil while evaporative water is used externally to reject heat to the atmosphere.
The Series V closed circuit design uses counterflow heat transfer with centrifugal fans and forced-draft airflow. The centrifugal fan arrangement provides the ability to overcome external static pressure, supporting indoor, ducted, and sound-sensitive installations.
The VF1 configuration is also associated with discharge-hood configurations for applications where airflow routing and sound control need to be considered.
